School Supplies

Each year as school begins in August,  Project Success coordinates distribution of basic school supplies for more than 2,000 needy children in cooperation with area churches, businesses, and service providers. Each bag of supplies helps prepare these children to start the school year ready to learn on that important first day of school.  Students receive crayons, pencils, rulers, folders, paper, pencil boxes, glue, erasers and – as available – much needed back packs.

Project Success also provides school supplies to area homeless children.  Back packs with age appropriate supplies are assembled to give to these students as our staff works to see that they are enrolled in school.

In order to provide supplies and support this annual initiative, donations of supplies or funding are always needed and appreciated!  If you, your business, church or organization would like to find out how you can help support our School Supplies project to help needy children, please call Jane at 421-8074.

Our 2008-2009 school supplies distribution will take place on Monday, August 18, at First Presbyterian Church from 1 - 6 p.m.
